GLive privacy policy
Developer: Mehran Ghalambor · glive.backai.ir · Updated: 21 September 2026
GLive is sold by Mehran Ghalambor, not by Google. This page explains what data is collected, how it is used, and who it is shared with.
Limited Use: The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
1. Single purpose
GLive has one purpose: live-dub the audio of a user-selected browser tab into a chosen language using GLive live translation.
2. Data we handle
- Selected-tab audio only after you press Start. It is sent as PCM to GLive’s translation service to produce the translation and dubbed speech.
- Your API key stays on this device. It is never sent to GLive servers.
- Settings (language, volume, toggles, privacy consent) stay local.
- Install id (random) is sent to glive.backai.ir for the daily free quota and paid plans.
- Payment details only if you buy a plan: your email, the last four card digits for a Rial card-to-card transfer, or a crypto transaction hash for a dollar payment. The activation code is emailed. GLive does not store full card numbers or phone numbers.
- Source tab URL only to list tabs and, if you grant page access, to show captions and duck original media on that tab. Browsing history is not stored or sold.
3. How we use it
Only to provide that single purpose: live translation, playback, quota, and subscription renewal. We do not use data for personalized ads, credit scoring, or sale to data brokers.
4. Who we share with
- GLive’s translation service (generativelanguage.googleapis.com) receives tab audio and an API key for live translation — your own key, or the shared key GLive provides for your install.
- GLive billing (glive.backai.ir) receives the install id, quota, and order status.
- No payment gateway sits between you and GLive. Rial is card-to-card; dollar is USDT or USDC.
Humans do not read user data except with your specific consent for support, for security/abuse, or as required by law.
5. Optional proxy
The “Germany proxy for the service only” switch is off by default. If you turn it on, Chrome is asked for the proxy permission at that moment. Only the service traffic uses the proxy.
6. Security and retention
Audio and payments use HTTPS/WSS. Uninstalling the extension deletes local data.
7. Consent
The popup shows this notice before the first capture. You must accept it. If data practices change, the in-product notice is shown again.
